Fading Away

When I saw Kayla's photograph Peaceful Death,  I thought of Henry Peach Robinson's photograph Fading Away.  During Robinson's time this was considered a very controversial photograph. This Image is a composite of five images and one of the earliest examples of a manipulated photograph. The image depicts a young woman dying from tuberculosis.  Critics argued that death was not an appropriate subject to photograph.  What do you think?
Fading Away, composite photograph made from five negatives by Henry Peach Robinson, 1858; in the George Eastman Collection, Rochester, New York.
